Online density measurement using a non-nucleonic technology utilises real-time, inline measurement of a ultrasonic wave through a material such as a slurry. By measuring the speed of the wave through the slurry, the attenuation of the signal and the response at the slurry interface, accurate density measurement can be achieved without the use of a nuclear device.
